Authentic Matcha— Organic by Nature

Cultivating crops through organic farming begins with co-creation alongside microorganisms.

Nurturing, conditioning, and maintaining healthy soil forms the foundation of quality.

Throughout subsequent processes, farming and craftsmanship connect with care, leading to the well-being of both body and mind.

Organic cultivation, handcrafted methods, and a focus on health. The convergence of these three elements draws out the inherent power of “natural foods.”

Our Commitment to Organic Farming

SOWN is dedicated to organic farming amidst the rich natural environment of Saitama Prefecture. What is essential for healthy living? It is “food you can eat with peace of mind” and “nutrient-rich ingredients.” Cultivating and delivering these two things is our mission.

This region is a pioneer in organic farming. We immersed ourselves in its organic farming courses—places of learning—spending countless hours engaging with the soil, plants, and nature itself.

Furthermore, as course assistants, we put in the hard work while putting sustainable farming practices into action.

The origin of this effort was a sense of crisis over Japan's 37% food self-sufficiency rate. Importing vegetables means ingesting fungicides.
We spent days of trial and error considering the impact on the human body and striving for a healthy diet.

Cultivating food that can be reproduced is also the fundamental philosophy of the “Organic Tea Ceremony” we advocate.
Growing the ingredients for the meals and sweets served at tea gatherings with our own hands, covered in mud and sweating—that is where the essence of the Organic Tea Ceremony truly lies.

Co-creation with Microbes

The Beginning of Well-being

Nutrient-rich crops are born from soil abundant in microorganisms.

By practicing organic agriculture, we cultivate tea leaves that retain more nutrients and develop a deeper, cleaner flavor.
No chemicals. No shortcuts. Just time, care, and the natural rhythm of the land.

Organic farming is not just a method — it is the foundation of our STAY YOUNG philosophy

From Leaf to Matcha: A Craft of
Precision

Each leaf is shaded, hand-picked, steamed, dried, and finally stone-ground into a fine, vibrant powder.

This slow and traditional process preserves:
・bitterness-balanced umami
・natural sweetness
・antioxidants and amino acids
・the aroma that signals true, high-grade matcha

Matcha is simple in form — yet every gram carries the work of countless hands and the wisdom of generations.

A Cup That Supports Body and Mind

Organic matcha is rich in catechins, L-theanine, and other nutrients that help maintain clarity, metabolism, and mental balance.

It is not only a drink — but a daily ritual that strengthens the connection between nature and the self.
